Program Manager - IT

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IT Program Manager to lead and deliver large-scale, cross-functional technology programs. The role involves strategic planning, stakeholder management, execution oversight, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. You will drive multiple projects under a unified program, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and value realization.

Responsibilities:

• Define program scope, objectives, and success metrics aligned with business goals.
• Lead end-to-end program execution across multiple projects/workstreams.
• Develop and manage program roadmaps, timelines, and budgets.
• Ensure alignment across engineering, product, operations, and business teams.
• Oversee project managers and ensure timely delivery of all program components.
• Track progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Drive Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies as appropriate.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and governance frameworks.
• Act as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders and leadership.
• Communicate program status, risks, and dependencies effectively.
• Facilitate decision-making and resolve cross-functional conflicts.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate program-level risks and issues
• Establish governance structures, reporting cadence, and KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Manage program budgets, forecasting, and cost optimization.
• Allocate resources effectively across projects.
• Monitor ROI and value delivery of the program.
• Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes and tools.
• Implement best practices in program management and PMO frameworks.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in managing large-scale IT programs.
• Expertise in Agile (Scrum, SAFe) methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Experience in risk management and governance.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, APIs, microservices, or enterprise systems.
• Experience with tools like Jira, MS Project, Confluence, or similar.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional and distributed teams.
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage ambiguity and drive clarity.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 8+ years in IT project/program management.
• Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum Master/SAFe preferred.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with vendor management and third-party integrations.
• Exposure to data analytics, AI/ML, or automation programs.
• Experience in domains like Banking, Fintech, Travel, or Enterprise SaaS.
