API Developer (Laravel API)

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented API Developer to join our growing development team. In this role, you will primarily work with Laravel to design, build, and maintain high-quality RESTful APIs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Laravel
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to design, implement, and enhance features
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices
• Test, debug, and optimize APIs to ensure high performance and reliability
• Implement and maintain security and data protection standards
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team discussions
• Work on both new (greenfield) projects and existing systems
• Design and implement scalable database solutions and optimize queries

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with Laravel (8.x or newer)
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development
• Proficiency in PHP and object-oriented programming (OOP)
• Experience using Git for version control
• Basic knowledge of API authentication methods (JWT, OAuth)
• Strong skills in database design, optimization, and management (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• Ability to work within fixed timelines and meet project deadlines
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of Docker / containerization
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
• Familiarity with microservices architecture
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
