As a Cybersecurity & Privacy Protection Officer, you would be responsible for managing cybersecurity and privacy protection operations within our client's representative office or country.
Responsibilities:
Leading cybersecurity and privacy protection operations within the assigned region or country.
Ensuring compliance with all applicable local laws, regulations, and industry standards related to cybersecurity and data privacy.
Establishing and continuously improving security and privacy governance frameworks, policies, and processes.
Identifying, assessing, and mitigating cybersecurity and privacy risks across business operations, including ICT, cloud, digital energy, and consumer domains.
Acting as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities, industry bodies, and customers on security and privacy matters.
Representing the organization as a trusted spokesperson in external engagements, including regulatory discussions, industry forums, and customer interactions.
Building and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships with government agencies, regulators, and key stakeholders.
Driving internal capability development through security awareness, training programs, and best practices.
Coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution of cybersecurity and privacy initiatives.
Supporting business growth by embedding security and privacy requirements into products, solutions, and project delivery.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Law, or a related field.
Proven experience in cybersecurity and/or data privacy within large enterprises or regulatory bodies in the ICT industry.
Strong knowledge of local cybersecurity and privacy regulatory frameworks.
Demonstrated experience engaging with government authorities, regulators, customers, and industry organizations.
Established industry presence and professional network in cybersecurity and privacy domains.
Experience in managing security and privacy risks within business environments.
Experience in leading teams and managing cross-functional or cross-cultural environments is preferred
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or IAPP (e.g., CIPP, CIPM) is preferred.
Experience representing organizations in external forums, conferences, or public engagements is preferred.
