Quantity Surveyor

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Preparing, negotiating and analyzing costs for tenders and contracts
• Preparing & reviewing tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, progress claims and payment certificates
• Liaising with the client and other construction professionals such as project managers,engineers, consultants etc.
• Handling Monthly progress bills from the point of measuring the work up to the point of receipt of payment
• Advising on a range of legal, contractual and sensitive issues
• Be responsible to ensure that all operations are carried out to control costs, maximizing value, minimizing future liabilities and maintaining the required standard of quality
• Provide reports on actual costs vs estimate, identifying underlying reasons for any variance, in particular highlight, challenge & resolve variance to latest plans
• Provide general forecasting & estimating and performing budgetary controls.

Requirements:

• B.SC in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in relevant field.
• Experience in MEP construction is mandatory.
• Excellent knowledge of cost controlling activities.
• Excellent communication both verbal and written skills in English
• The selected candidate will be required to work at our project site in Maldives.
