Finance Manager

Job Description

We are hiring a Finance Manager on behalf of our client.

Purpose:

• Act as a trusted finance partner to senior management, providing clear financial insights and guidance.
• Lead and coordinate audit processes, working closely with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
• Drive a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement within finance operations.
• Support management in financial planning, risk assessment, and strategic decision-making.

Strategy:

• Support the development and execution of financial strategies aligned with business growth objectives.
• Strengthen financial governance, controls, and reporting frameworks across entities.
• Enable data-driven decision-making through robust management reporting and dashboards.
• Ensure financial practices remain compliant while supporting agility in a startup environment.

Tactics:

• Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and cash flow management and report statues or concerns to HQ Finance Representatives.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and dashboards for leadership review in coordination with HQ’s Finance Representatives.
• Manage consolidation of financial statements across multiple regions and legal entities in coordination with HQ Finance Representatives.
• Lead statutory and internal audits, ensuring timely completion and issue resolution.
• Manage tax compliance, including corporate tax, SSCL, withholding tax, and VAT where applicable.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Implement and improve financial controls, policies, and procedures suitable for a growing tech company.
• ACCA, CIM, or CA qualification (finalist or fully qualified).

Core Skills & Expertise:

• Strong audit background, preferably with a well-reputed audit firm.
• Proven experience in preparing management accounts and handling financial consolidation.
• Prior exposure to technology companies, startups, or fast-growing organizations will be a strong advantage.
• Solid knowledge of Sri Lanka tax regulations and statutory audit requirements.
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to effectively manage multiple responsibilities.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
