We are looking for an Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team supporting UK-based clients. This role involves managing end-to-end accounting processes, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards, and delivering high-quality client service in a fast-paced BPO environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
Fulfill bookkeeping requirements as and when needed.
Process payroll in compliance with HMRC requirements.
Prepare and submit VAT returns, PAYE and other HMRC filings.
Prepare and review balance sheet and P&L.
Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with UK taxation laws and guidelines.
Assist with internal/external audits and compliance requirements.
Communicate effectively with clients via email, calls and meetings to ensure excellent service delivery.
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold client confidentiality.
Identify process improvements and support automation/efficiency initiatives.
Ability to understand client and jurisdiction requirements and conform to them for all deliverables.
Analyze the MI data collated by the team on regular basis to detect trends and suggesting improvisations.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
Full/ Partial qualification in CIMA/ACCA.
3 - 4 years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to UK accounts.
Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel skills.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with client-facing experience.
Ability to work accurately under deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
Tech-savvy and comfortable using numerous online platforms for research outreach.
Ability to work autonomously and with minimal supervision.
A team player with a can do attitude.
