Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Solar Engineer to design, develop,
and oversee the implementation of solar energy systems. The ideal candidate
will have expertise in photovoltaic (PV) systems, solar thermal technologies,
and renewable energy project management. You will collaborate with
cross-functional teams to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable
solar solutions for residential, commercial, or utility-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Design
& Development:
Conduct site assessments for
solar feasibility (shading analysis, energy needs, structural integrity).
Design solar PV systems using
tools like AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, or similar software.
Optimize system layouts for
maximum energy production and cost efficiency.
Prepare technical drawings,
specifications, and bills of materials (BOM).
Project
Management:
Oversee installation,
commissioning, and performance testing of solar systems.
Ensure compliance with local,
state, and federal regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC, building codes).
Coordinate with contractors,
suppliers, and stakeholders to meet project timelines.
Technical
Analysis:
Perform energy yield
calculations, financial modeling (LCOE, ROI), and performance monitoring.
Troubleshoot system issues and
recommend improvements.
Evaluate new solar
technologies, components, and industry trends.
Documentation
& Reporting:
Prepare feasibility studies,
proposals, and client presentations.
Maintain project
documentation, including permits, warranties, and as-built drawings.
Qualifications &
Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s
degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable
Energy, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience:
3+ years in solar system
design, installation, or project management.
Proficiency in PV design
software (e.g., PVsyst, SAM, AutoCAD).
Knowledge of
grid-tied/off-grid systems, batteries, and inverters.
Certifications
(Preferred):
NABCEP PV Installation
Professional, PE License, or LEED accreditation.
Soft
Skills:
Strong analytical,
problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a team and
manage multiple projects.
