Job Description
As an Accountant, you will play a key role in providing high-quality taxation and accounting services to our diverse client base while being provided the opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and complete annual accounts for trusts, companies, and partnerships.
Handling tax returns for individuals, trusts, companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
Managing GST, Business Activity Statements, and Instalment Activity statements.
Calculating CGT and Div 7A and providing valuable advice to clients.
Support clients with various non-tax related business and company compliance.
Bookkeeping, where applicable.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting / finance or ideally qualified in ACCA / CIMA / CA / CPA.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in public practice, preparing annual accounts, and tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Advanced understanding of the Corporations Act, relevant accounting standards, tax legislation, and other related research.
Experience in preparing financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, and individuals, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulations, and completion.
Extensive knowledge of taxation legislation.
Detailed knowledge of tax office correspondence and procedures.
Excellent time management and work prioritization skills.
Willingness to contribute to internal process improvement.
