Job Summary
As a Marketing and SEO Intern, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our online presence and driving digital marketing initiatives. Leveraging your knowledge of SEO, content creation, social media management, and digital advertising, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement strategies that improve search engine rankings, engage audiences, and drive traffic.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute digital marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and drive traffic in the Sri Lankan market.
Perform keyword research and optimize website content, blog posts, and landing pages for improved search engine rankings.
Create and manage engaging content for social media platforms, ensuring alignment with market trends and audience preferences.
Assist in planning and running digital advertising campaigns on platforms like Google Ads and Facebook Ads to achieve marketing objectives.
Conduct market research to understand local customer behaviour, emerging trends, and competitor activities.
Monitor and analyze website performance metrics using tools such as Google Analytics and Search Console, and provide actionable insights.
Support the development and execution of email marketing campaigns tailored to the target audience.
Collaborate with design teams to create compelling visuals and graphics for digital marketing efforts.
Execute link-building strategies and assist with on-page and off-page SEO tasks to improve organic rankings.
Prepare and deliver professional presentations to stakeholders on campaign performance, market research findings, and strategic recommendations.
Stay updated with the latest digital marketing and SEO trends to recommend innovative strategies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Information Technology, or a related field (completed or nearing completion).
Basic understanding of SEO, digital marketing concepts, and social media management strategies.
Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO platforms like SEMrush or Ahrefs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate ideas and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Creativity and proficiency in content creation for blogs, social media, and marketing materials.
Familiarity with digital advertising platforms such as Facebook Ads Manager and Google Ads.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and basic design tools like Canva and Figma.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Passion for learning and staying updated with industry best practices.
