Financial Accountant

Job Description

Reporting to the Fractional FC, the Financial Accountant will play an essential role in ensuring the smooth running of the financial operations. You’ll take on a broad range of responsibilities, including managing purchase and sales ledgers, processing payroll, preparing monthly management accounts, and supporting ad hoc finance and operations related matters. Responsibilities:

• Management Accounts: Prepare monthly accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations, prepayments, provisions, and accruals.
• Tax Compliance: Handle VAT, SVAT, and tax matters alongside external consultants.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct variance analysis, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting.
• Purchase Ledger: Process supplier invoices, manage payments, and maintain accurate records.
• Audit support: Facilitate internal and external audits
• Sales Ledger: Collaborate with the sales team and monitor accounts receivable, leading credit control efforts.
• Payroll: Process monthly payroll and statutory compliance.
• Ad Hoc Support: Handle other finance-related projects and requests as needed.

Requirements:

• Fully qualified in CA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar finance role, with exposure to monthly management accounts.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and general accounting principles.
• Proficiency in SAP or SAP Byd system would be an added advantage.
