Assistant Factory Manager

Job Description

Planning and scheduling production activities to meet demand while minimizing downtime and ensuring efficient resource utilization.

Ensuring that products and production process meet the established standards and implementing quality control measures to maintain product consistency and safety.

Implementing and monitoring efficient manufacturing processes, minimizing waste, and optimizing production to reduce costs. Identifying areas for process improvement and implementing lean manufacturing principles or other improvement methodologies. Ensuring that the factory complies with all relevant legal, regulatory, and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
• Ensuring that the factory complies with safety and environmental regulations and implementing safety measures to protect employees and the environment.
• Developing and managing budgets for the factory, controlling costs, and working to improve the factory's financial performance.
• Recruiting, training, and supervising production staff, and creating a positive work environment. Managing and allocating resources, including labor, raw materials, and equipment, to meet production targets.
• Collaborating with other departments, such as procurement and logistics, to ensure a smooth supply chain and on-time delivery of products to customers.
• Handling unexpected issues and crises that may disrupt production or affect the factory's operations.
• Keeping up with advancements in manufacturing technology and integrating them for process improvement and cost reduction and future requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in an Industrial Engineering field or equivalent with not less than 10 years work experience in consumer goods/ Medical devices/Pharma/Food manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of production processes like lean, six sigma and applicable regulations.
• Ability to solve problems and make quick decisions.
