• Managing customer inquiries by walk-in, in-person, by phone, or electronically by providing full and accurate travel advice on pricing encouraging bookings on our partner airlines.
• Actively selling travel services on partner airlines.
• Managing the full bookings process including giving complete travel information, making a reservation to meet the customer needs, taking payments and issuing the ticket.
• Providing information, answering queries and supporting customers and potential customers as needed in the business.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Sinhala, Tamil is also preferred.
• Ability to work on a rostered basis serving global customers.
• A minimum of one year's demonstrable success in selling tickets in the airline industry.
• Able to work under pressure, provide solutions to unhappy customers and resolve problems.
• Excellent people management skills with the ability to nurture positive and productive working relationships with all stakeholders of the business.
• Diploma in ticketing and reservations, or diploma/bachelor's degree in business, aviation or a related field.
• Familiarity with Sabre, GDS, KIU, Hit-It or any other travel related software tools.
