The role includes ensuring smooth and efficient operations, supervising the workforce, and maintaining accurate records and documentation of the process. The job primarily operates on weekdays, but the candidate maybe required to work on weekends based on operational needs or company requirements. This is a one-year contract-based position.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision of Daily Operations:
Monitor and manage the receipt, processing, and disposal of company waste in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Supervise the workforce involved in the unloading, segregation, repacking, and transportation of company waste to ensure the work is carried out efficiently and safely.
Coordinate with the quality team regarding material quality and optimize material handling to meet the required standards. Ensure the quality is verified before feeding the kiln.
Coordinate the use of forklifts, tractors, and other equipment to facilitate the operation.
Ensure all equipment and machinery used during operations are properly maintained and safe for use.
Documentary & Administrative Works:
Handle and maintain all official documentation related to company waste operations, including attendance sheets, compliance forms, and operational logs.
Prepare and submit reports on daily operations, including volumes processed, issues encountered, and corrective actions taken.
Ensure all documentation is accurately completed and filed according to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance:
Enforce adherence to safety protocols during operational activities.
Conduct routine inspections of the worksite to ensure that all health, safety, and environmental standards are met.
Report any safety incidents or near-misses to the relevant departments and ensure proper follow-up.
Communication & Coordination:
Coordinate with plant management, logistics teams, and third-party contractors to ensure the timely and efficient handling of company waste.
Liaise with third-party contractors and internal stakeholders to resolve any operational challenges.
Conduct briefings and training sessions for staff regarding safe handling practices and operational updates.
