 Job Description

Based in Samoa and reporting to the Managing Director, this role will lead all aspects of financial management at the group-level. The incumbent will work closely with and provide relevant guidance to the Financial Controller or Finance Manager in each of the Group’s 5 companies.

You will be responsible for successfully driving the following (but not limited to) critical outcomes:

  • Effective leadership of the Group’s finance function ensured and relevant financial advice pro-vided. 

  • Corporate accounting, asset and risk management services effectively delivered.

  • Timely financial reporting and regulatory/accounting standards compliance ensured.

  • Efficiency and accuracy of budget process and forecasting maintained.

  • Finance and internal control policies and procedures developed/refined.

  • Performance measures developed and achieved.

  • Recruitment and professional development opportunities for finance personnel.

  • Business development initiatives supported with robust analysis and business plans.

  • Informed management team and Board of directors ensured.

  • Organisational values upheld and vision and mission effectively contributed to.

The person we seek will have a degree in Accounting or Finance, hold a CPA or CA designation and have a minimum of 10 years combined accounting and finance experience. Work experience in the Fast-moving Consumer Goods industry is an advantage.

The successful applicant will also demonstrate, at a minimum, the following:

  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller with strong financial management and reporting ex-perience and proficiency in the use of accounting software.

  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles/standards and developing finance policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will be provided a competitive remuneration package and a contract term of 2 years which will be subject to renewal for a further 2 years upon mutual agreement.
